General Gorostieta
General Gorostieta Tequila is a boutique, ultra-premium tequila brand inspired by the legacy of General Enrique Gorostieta, a complex historical figure who played a pivotal role during Mexico’s Cristero War in the 1920s. Named in his honor, the brand reflects strength, conviction, and a bold spirit—values that Gorostieta embodied. This tequila is crafted not only to honor Mexican history but also to showcase the depth and sophistication that traditional tequila-making can achieve when paired with modern refinement.
Produced in small batches in the highlands of Jalisco, General Gorostieta Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, grown at high altitudes where the cool climate and mineral-rich soil yield agave of exceptional sweetness and complexity. The agave is slowly roasted in traditional brick ovens and fermented naturally, then double-distilled to preserve its rich character. The result is a spirit that’s as bold and refined as its namesake.
Each expression—from the crisp, vibrant Blanco to the deeply aged Extra Añejo—is crafted with care and aged in American or French oak barrels to impart layers of vanilla, spice, and dried fruit. The packaging is equally striking, featuring clean lines and refined details that nod to both heritage and modern luxury.
General Gorostieta Tequila stands as a tribute to courage, resilience, and the enduring soul of Mexico. It appeals to those who appreciate not only the fine art of tequila but also the powerful stories behind the bottle. With every sip, it invites drinkers to raise a glass to history, heritage, and honor.
