Colour: Bright gold Nose: Freshly cut wood, hay, honey, bees wax, lemon zest, hints of nutmeg. Palate: Honey, raisins, apples, caramel, hints of nutmeg and pepper. Finish: Long fruity and slightly spicy. Overall: In a way this is Burn Stewart’s Highland equivalent of the Bunnahabhain Darach Ur. It’s not bad at all, but it does not have the richness of its cousin from Islay.
